Ouija Boards and the Gateway to Hell

Today, we need to talk about something that is both deadly serious and extremely dangerous: Ouija boards, spiritual mediums, and psychics. These practices may seem harmless to some, even playful or innocent, but make no mistake—they are gateways to darkness, open doors to demonic forces, and tools that invite Satan’s destruction into your life and your family.

It is not a game. It’s life and death.

So I want you to listen closely, because what I am about to say is a warning—not just to you, but to your children, your friends, your family. You need to understand the danger of these spiritual practices. Because if you play with fire, you WILL get burned. And that’s exactly what Satan wants you to do: to play with the forces of darkness until they consume you.

Ouija Boards: A Portal to Demons

Let’s talk about the Ouija board. I don’t care how many “friends” on social media say it’s just a harmless game. It’s not. It’s a direct invitation to the enemy. The Bible says that we should flee from evil and not even entertain the idea of consulting the occult. Yet, many young people, out of curiosity or boredom, think they can dabble in it for fun. Let me make this very clear: Ouija boards open a door to demonic influence.

You’re not just moving a piece around a board. No, you are inviting demons into your life, your home, your family. In the book of Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord gives a stern warning:

“Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”

What does this say? God hates these practices. He calls them detestable. And when you use a Ouija board, you’re opening yourself up to the very practices that God condemns. It is not harmless. It is inviting demons into your life. These demons don’t play by your rules. They will not leave when you want them to. You are opening a door to evil that is hard to shut.

So what happens when you start playing with the Ouija board? You might think nothing happens, that it’s all in your head. But I can tell you that things start changing. You start feeling unsettled in your home, your relationships begin to unravel, your health might decline, and peace and joy will be replaced by fear. That’s the work of the enemy. He will slowly creep in, first with subtle whispers, and then with full-on attacks.

Do not be deceived. Ouija boards are not a game. They are spiritual land mines waiting to explode in your life.

Psychics and Mediums: Agents of Satan

Next, let’s talk about psychics, spiritual mediums, fortune tellers, and anyone who claims to have the ability to speak to the dead or foretell the future. These people are tools of Satan, whether they know it or not. And to consult them, to seek out their “wisdom,” is to open yourself up to demonic oppression.

Let me say this again: Psychics and mediums are not of God. When you go to them, you are not speaking to your deceased loved ones. You are speaking to evil spirits that are masquerading as those who have passed. These spirits are demons, and their sole mission is to deceive, confuse, and lead you into destruction.

The Bible is very clear about this. In Leviticus 19:31, it says:

“Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.”

God warns us do not turn to mediums, psychics, or anyone who claims to speak with the dead. Why? Because these practices open a door to Satan. They give the enemy a foothold in your life that he will gladly take advantage of. He will use these spirits to plant lies in your mind, manipulate your emotions, and ultimately pull you further away from God.

The devil is a master of deception. He will trick you into thinking these psychics are doing something good, that they are helping you connect with your loved ones or give you clarity about your future. But in reality, they are agents of darkness who serve Satan’s kingdom. When you seek them, you are seeking Satan’s help, not God’s.

And here’s the most dangerous part: it doesn’t stop with one visit. Once you open the door to the occult, you don’t just get to close it at will. These spirits will attach themselves to you, drag you deeper into darkness, and lead you to places you never intended to go.

The Bible’s Clear Warning

God’s Word is clear. The enemy is real. And the things we often view as “harmless” or “innocent fun” are actually weapons Satan uses to destroy us. If you invite demons into your life, they will come. And they will wreck havoc. They don’t come quietly; they come to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10 warns us of the thief's mission:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

God offers us life—abundant life. Satan, on the other hand, offers death—death to our peace, to our joy, to our relationships, and ultimately to our soul.

This is why it is so important for us to be aware of these practices, to stay far away from anything that invites demonic influence into our lives. Ouija boards, psychics, and mediums are not harmless curiosities. They are direct invitations to Satan to come into your life and your home.

You have to stand firm. If you are involved in these practices, repent and get away from them. Burn those Ouija boards, throw away the tarot cards, delete the psychic apps, and don’t ever look back. Run away from anything that opens a door to Satan. Because the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8:

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

The devil is on the prowl, and he’s looking for any opening he can find. Don’t give him one.

It’s Life and Death: Your Soul is at Stake

I need you to hear me loud and clear: This is a matter of life and death. You are not playing games when you mess with the occult. Satan is not some cartoon villain. He’s a real, malevolent force who wants nothing more than to drag your soul to hell.

When you dabble in these practices, you invite the enemy into your home, into your life, and even into your family’s lives. It’s not harmless. It’s deadly.

But here’s the good news: Jesus Christ is stronger than any demon. His blood is more powerful than any spell. His light is stronger than any darkness.

You don’t have to live in fear. You don’t have to play by the enemy’s rules. Jesus came to give you freedom. Freedom from the grip of the enemy, freedom from the lies, freedom from the chains that hold you back. But you have to surrender to Him. You have to reject the enemy and choose the light.

Father, we come before You today and ask for Your protection over our lives. We renounce any involvement with the occult, with Ouija boards, psychics, and any form of spiritual darkness. We pray that You would break every chain that has been formed in our lives through these practices, and we ask for Your deliverance.

We declare that You alone are Lord, and we place our trust in You. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would fill us with peace, discernment, and wisdom to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Church, guard your hearts, guard your homes, and be vigilant. The enemy is out there, but you are more than a conqueror through Christ!
